LLOYD WAYNE SHRINER, born March 11, 1947 in Marion, IN. Enlisted USN October 1966. Following basic training and GMG A School at Great Lakes, he was assigned to the USS Samuel Gompers AD-37. Upon completion of NIOTC training, Mare Island, SERE training, Whidbey Island (who could forget that?), PO Shriner reported to RIVDIV 592 Nha Be, Vietnam in February 1969. In July 1969 he was transferred to RIVDIV 593 as gunner on PBR 842.

He finished his tour of Vietnam and USN February 1970. Awarded four Navy Commendations w/Combat V.

Shriner attended Purdue and worked in government electronics for 22 years including Magnavox, ITT and Memcor as an electronics technician. Presently at United Technologies Automotive in Huntington, IN.

Married to Samia, they are kept busy with three sons, two daughters, eight grandchildren and activities at Freedom Assembly of God Church in Alexandria, IN.
